“Good architecture should enrich its users and help to make their everyday life flow smoothly.”

Philosophy

Kendra’s path to architecture was set in high school, when she discovered that a career in design would allow her to combine creativity with critical thinking. Experienced in healthcare and commercial projects, Kendra believes that good architecture should enrich its users and help to make their everyday life flow smoothly. She approaches her work with a holistic orientation that takes into account the feeling of a space as well as its functional and visual appeal. Natural light and ventilation play just as important a role as spatial considerations. Kendra loves the multi-faceted nature of the design process, and is always ready to explore the numerous potential solutions any given problem presents.

Tidbit

Inspired by a professor who told her that in order to make interesting designs, one must do interesting things, Kendra makes it a point to travel out of the country once a year. During her travels, she loves to explore the local culture, and to let curiosity rather than concrete plans lead her way.
