Branded Details for a Sports Marketer

Octagon is a global sports marketing and talent representation agency. Their new Atlanta office needed to reflect their athletic industry and evoke a fun-loving office environment. For our designers, branding goes beyond a logo and a handful of colors – it is an experience that must be felt immediately upon entering a space. Materials found in sporting venues and equipment such as rich leathers, metal mesh, and glossy wood were used throughout the office to brand the space without being too literal.

The office entrance is illuminated with stadium style lighting. Minimal furnishings support a dry erasable wall graphic and industrial concrete flooring.

The break room features large scale graphics and bar seating to suggest the feeling of box seats at a stadium. A metal mesh inset compliments dark wood on the kitchen island, accented with dark leather stools and mixed material pendant lighting. Extra storage doubles as seating along the narrow hallway.

Coat closets and storage were designed to be reminiscent of a sports locker with the same metal mesh inset seen in the kitchen.

An Xbox gaming area is framed with acoustical felt that was custom ordered in Octagon’s signature red color. A dry erase board spans across the entire wall for notes and scoreboards. Brown grained leather and notable stitching mimics the look and feel of a football.
