Layered Nests for Creative Interaction
Like scattered bird’s nests up in the trees, the ATA design team envisioned a creative office building that featured pockets in which communications and interactions can exist. The main interior space is open and public, so these protruding “nests” allow for a more private communication and collaboration space.
The linear facade and vertical glass panels pair with layered botanical balconies to further this concept. Charcoal paneling is punctuated by concrete and white panel accents.
Taking advantage of the high height allowance in the property’s zoning requirements, only one subterranean parking level was needed as another three remain above ground for a more cost effective solution. Retail shares the ground floor. Four stories of offices sit at the top, beginning where the structure cantilevers over the parking deck.
